What does Click to sponsor me button do?

What does Click to sponsor me button do?
Also, when i click that button it sends me to some Plimus site, its same when i click to become a suporter, what does sponsor button do?
Please help!!!

The Click to Sponsor me button is like buying the supportership, except it's a quick link to the user that you want to buy the supportership for. Unfortunately, since the supportership system is down, the button is worthless.
